The destruction of the forests

People are constantly chopping down the rain forest and other forests which is contributing to climate change. Not only do trees absorb carbon dioxide, which is destroying the ozone layer, but in just 24 hours tree chopping gives off as much carbon dioxide as aeroplane travelling to New York and back.
Sure we need paper for educational purporses, but that's why we recycle. If people recycled more there would be less need for more tree chopping. We need to be greener if we want to save this planet.
